Dr F. R. (Raymond) Allchin 1923–2010

The College is saddened to report the death of Raymond Allchin on Friday 4 June 2010. Raymond was appointed University Lecturer in Indian Studies in 1959 and was elected to a Title A (Bridges) Fellowship in 1963 and was Director of Studies in Oriental Studies for many years. He was elected to a Title D (Pensioner) Fellowship in 1990.
