Dr J.A. (Jack) Miller 1935-2007
The College is saddened to report the death of Jack Miller in the early hours of Friday 18th May 2007. Jack came to Churchill College as a Junior Research Fellow in 1961, to continue his work in geophysics on the dating of minerals, using mass spectrometry. He rapidly got drawn into the Boat Club and was one of its main coaches by 1965, becoming President of the Boat Club in the mid-1970's, and then Life President on his retirement in 2003.
