Churchill College Archives: Historical Reference Records
This collection brings together publications, historical articles and reminiscences, drawings
and artefacts about the College or events or people connected with it, including:
- Records relating to special events, including records of Sir Winston Churchill's only
visit to the College, made on October 17th 1959 to plant an oak tree and a mulberry tree
on the College site.
- A substantial collection of press cuttings. These cover the origins of the College
in particular and include many articles from the architectural press of the 1960s on the
College buildings and on the architects, Richard Sheppard, Robson and Partners.
- Several unpublished articles on the history and
origins of the College, chiefly written by individual Trustees.
- The College's Oral History Project.
