Politics and class conflict in the 1920's

This is the reverse side of a leaflet from Leo Amery's 1922 campaign for Birmingham Sparkbrook. Note especially the appeal to women voters by emphasising the "discontent and hatred" that socialism would bring. Arguments such as this played their part in encouraging politicians on all sides to disavow fractious forms of public politics after 1918.
