This telegram was sent from the Prime Minister to President Eisenhower on 12 November 1953. Churchill makes clear his intention that the Conference should be more substantive than ceremonial, insisting on a round table for discussions, and referring to his hopes for Anglo-American 'collusion' over the atomic question. He also jokes about the enforced absence of journalists from the Conference.
