Churchill and Russia: Online Exhibition
The Second World War in Europe ended on 8 May 1945.

conflict with Soviet Russia, and wasted no time in
voicing his concerns to President Truman. This
telegram and its use of the phrase "iron curtain"
leads naturally towards Churchill's famous speech at
Fulton, Missouri.
