Valentine's Day Display

Part of a letter from Clementine to Winston, with her views on 'Married Love' by Marie Stopes, which had been lent to her by "Goonie" (Lady Gwendolen Churchill). The book was published in March 1918, and was an immediate success, selling 2,000 copies within a fortnight. It was also published in America, but the courts declared the book was obscene and it was promptly banned!
