The JCR

The JCR (http://jcr.chu.cam.ac.uk/) exists as an undergraduate student union, to present undergraduate opinion to the decision-making bodies of the College and to provide services for its members.

The JCR meets once a fortnight through Full Term (until the exams) to discuss matters of interest to undergraduates and to formulate policy. These Open Meetings are the sovereign body of the JCR and any member is entitled to attend, to vote and to propose motions. Open Meeting decisions can only be reversed by later Open Meetings. Motions, proposed by two members, must be given to the Secretary at least 24 hours before the meeting.
