Visit his website to see more about our poet, John Kinsella, one of Australia's leading literary figures, resident in Churchill every Michaelmas term and part of the summer. He is active on numerous fronts, whether writers workshops, Faculty classes on modern poetry, or literary theory. He and his partner, Tracy Ryan, also a poet, have generously funded two annual Prizes open to students at Cambridge: the John Kinsella / Tracy Ryan Poetry Prize and The Other Prize (for play-writing), both at £500 each. See more on the Kinsella Prizes page and on the Faculty website. The judges for the Prizes are chosen from Churchill and elsewhere and The Other Prize includes a workshop on the winning script by the Literary Manager of the Royal Shakespeare Company, using RSC actors.
