I conceptualize large-scale human brain anatomy and activity as a complex network of brain regions and interregional associations. I use brain-imaging -- such as magnetic-resonance-imaging -- data sets and computer simulations to model healthy and diseased instances of this network. I aim to quantify local and global properties of this network, to understand relationships between structure and function of this network, and to reliably detect neuropsychiatrically diseased instances of this network.
