Professor John Archibald PhD

Dr. John Archibald is a Professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada. He obtained his Ph.D. from Dalhousie in 2001 and was an Izaak Walton Killam post-doctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia (2001-03). He is currently a Fellow of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, Program in Integrated Microbial Biodiversity. His scientific contributions include serving as Treasurer of the Society for Molecular Biology & Evolution (2009-11) and Associate Editor for various journals, including Genome Biology & Evolution and Journal of Phycology. His research interests include symbiosis and genome evolution.
