Professor Murray Thomson MSc, PhD

Professor Murray Thomson is a Professor in the Dept. of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. He is also cross-appointed with the Dept. of Chemical Engineering. He received his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994. His research is in the area of combustion with a focus on biofuels, combustion modeling, pollutant formation and optical sensors. He is currently on the leadership team of the BiofuelNet NSERC National Centre of Excellence and the Board of Directors of the Canadian Section of the Combustion Institute.
