Dr. Meike Wulf, (BA (Münster, Germany), MA (SSEES UCL), PhD (LSE) is Assistant Professor at the Department of Politics at the University of Maastricht, where she teaches Modern European History and East European Politics. Her monograph: Shadowlands: Generating histories in Post-totalitarian Estonia is forthcoming with Berghahn Books. Her research interest lies in comparative approaches to the study of memory and war in post-1945 Europe, with a special expertise in biographic oral history methods. She held research posts at the Institute of Advanced Studies in the Humanities in Essen; the Institute of East European Studies at Uppsala University; and a postdoctoral position at the Centre of East European Language Based Area Studies (CEELBAS UCL). Meike Wulf will be Archives By-Fellow at Churchill College in the Michaelmas Term 2012 working with the MT Papers and the material of the British Diplomatic Oral History Programme to establish the former British Prime Minister’s understanding of Europe, including Eastern Europe. Currently she is also engaged in a collaborative book project with Dr Harald Wydra (St. Catharine’s College) entitled: Dynamics of European Memory in East and West - Towards a comparative Framework.
