Ehsan Abdi received his MPhil and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cambridge University in 2004 and 2006 respectively. He has been a member of Churchill College since he joined the University and received a scholarship from the College for his PhD study. Ehsan has been involved in both academic and industrial activities and is an Embedded Researcher at the Engineering Department. He is also a co-founder and Director of a University spinout, Wind Technologies. His main research interests include renewable power generation, electrical machines and drives, and electrical measurements and instrumentation. He has over twenty-five publications and is an inventor on two patents.
