Churchill Café was founded in 2004, by two Christian students Beth Maughan and Alison McFarland.
"We started café because it was our exam term of first year and we wanted people to have a place that they could come and relax and not think about work, and also we wanted to serve people in college and show them Jesus' love in a practical way - to reflect grace in giving them something that they didn't have to pay for."
We still run café for the same reasons: we do it because we all need time and space to relax: we want to give people a great place to come and chill out, and because giving is at the heart of our faith.
