Many people mistakenly believe that rugby is all about getting drunk afterwards. However, this is just not true. Indeed, our current captain does not drink at all. This isn't to say that rugby nights out are dull, rather the opposite. Churchill is famed for the sociability of their rugby players and the social nights are well attended. In fact, our rugby nights are so successful that there is normally one every week, although the infamous HATS night doesn't come round that often. Compare this with our local rival, Fitzwilliam, who struggle to hold even two nights a term and you can tell that our rugby team is one of the best in Cambridge for a social atmosphere.
Of course, a rugby night out wouldn't be the same without drinking games, loutish songs and unusual attire. Each game has its own rules but the first rule of all of them is: "Don't tell anyone the rules!". We would let you know the lyrics to the songs here but unfortunately we're not allowed expletive content on this website so you'll just have to use your imagination as to the lyrics of such classics as "Chicagos", "Yogi Bear" and "Tampax Factory".
