The First team were at pretty much full strength* when they kicked off their season against Christ's in what would have been perfect conditions, if it wasn't for the force 9 gale blowing right across the pitch.
With a pack full of banterous pretty-boys like Ollie Watkins and Andy McCormick, and a back line boasting the awesomely awesome Coxy and the mighty mighty Weasel, there was more than enough flair to take the home team apart with ease. Christ's couldn't tackle, either, which helped a fair bit, too.

The first try wasn't long in coming, when Weasel scythed through their defence, and after that, they were running scared. At half time the score was 15-3 (i think) to the pink and brown army, but in the second half, despite some defensive lapses allowing Christ's a couple of completely undeserved tries, Churchill were unstoppable, putting at least another million points on the board before the final whistle.
After the match, we went to investigate the horse living next to the rugby pitch, but it got a bit scared and ran away, so we had to make do with a conventional warm-down instead.
The best thing about the match (other than the horse, and the fact we won) was that we weren't playing to our full potential, so we should only get better as the season progresses. This means we should be invinsible*** by the start of Cuppers next term - especially when the new Winston arrives to support us.
