Salary from £49,141 to £64,119 per annum (depending on experience)
One of the most forward-thinking and diverse Cambridge Colleges, Churchill College seeks to appoint an IT Director.
Founded in 1960 as the national and Commonwealth memorial to Sir Winston Churchill and home to the Churchill Archives Centre (which houses a world-leading collection of 20th Century history) and the Møller Institute (a wholly owned trading subsidiary of the College providing leadership and management development executive education with particular expertise in professional services firms via a multi-award winning conference and training centre), the College is an academic community of some 485 undergraduates, 330 graduate students, more than 200 Fellows and 160 non-academic staff.
This recently created post will provide strategic vision and operational leadership for the provision of IT services across the College site. The IT Director will develop, plan and lead the College’s IT strategy, define and deliver IT projects and manage the IT Department to maximise efficiency and effectiveness in IT delivery. With a number of bespoke in-house systems and a diverse user base this is a challenging and stimulating role, set within a supportive working environment, backed by a skilled and committed team.
You will have prior experience in a similar level role, ideally within a comparable organisation. You will be an excellent communicator with the proven ability to engage, define and influence effectively across all levels using both technical and non-technical language as appropriate. You should have a track record of success in leading the development of IT services, of delivering a range of complex projects and of effective team management, underpinned by sound technical knowledge.
