Senior Computer Officer (IT Infrastructure Engineer)

Salary from £32,487–£50,615 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience).

One of the most forward-thinking and diverse Cambridge Colleges, Churchill College is seeking to recruit experienced and well qualified IT professionals. Two posts are on offer, one permanent and one on a two-yearr fixed-term basis.

This is an exciting time for the College as we start to undertake a period of change and transformation of IT services supported by new market-leading technologies.

Reporting to the IT Director you will manage, maintain and support the virtual and physical infrastructure services and applications. You will be responsible for major incident, problem management, diagnosing, resolving and recovering from loss of service to maintain department service uptime targets while adhering to change planning, evaluating, risk, peer reviewing procedures. You will be expected to ensure the delivery and continual improvement of services which support the strategic aims of the College. These roles will provide an interesting mix of input into the strategic development of services and involvement in resolving day to day operational issues.

To succeed in the role you will have worked in an IT Service Management environment, employing incident, request, change and problem management. Experienced in project planning the procurement, design and implementation of IT infrastructure systems and network services, you will also be comfortable with the work of in a third line support role. Ideally candidates will already possess or be working towards relevant certifications ( MCSA /CCNA or MCSE/CCNP).
