Churchill Alumni
Since our founding in 1958, over 12,000 alumni have been sent into the world from Churchill College.
We help keep alumni connected with each other and the College through regular events and updates. Stay part of the community by signing up to our Alumni E-bulletin and by joining Churchill Connect, an online platform exclusively for Churchill College alumni.
Other alumni benefits include dining privileges, accommodation discounts, shopping discounts, travel programme, networking and more. All alumni are also automatically members of the Churchill College Association.
If you want to see some examples of past alumni, you can view a list on Wikipedia. We also compile obituaries for Alumni as we are made aware of their passing.
Alumni benefits
Churchill College offers generous benefits to our Alumni. Many Alumni also help support our current and future students through donations, which allows us to provide support and opportunities to the next generation.
We appreciate that not all are in a position to give, which is one of the reasons we only ask for a voluntary contribution for alumni places at High Table dinners.
E-Bulletin
You can stay in touch with the latest monthly news & events from Churchill College by viewing previous newsletters or signing up to receive future editions.

Churchill Business Network
Churchill Business Network was set up in 2017, to create in-person networking opportunities for Churchill alumni in London.
The events usually take the format of a talk, followed by questions and answers, and are personal to the career of the alumni speaking, rather than advertising the company they happen to work in. There is always an opportunity to chat over drinks afterwards.
The network currently has 638 alumni members, whom we email to advertise forthcoming events. If you want to join the list just email us to let us know!
Alumni common interest groups
Common interest groups include rowing, golf and rugby, creative writing, and visits with Churchill Connections.
Groups like this are a great way to keep in touch with each other and the College. If you like to join or set one up, please get in touch.
Other groups include:
Churchill College Boat Club
The Churchill College Boat Club was founded in 1961 and is open to all members of the College. It emphasises the social aspect of rowing as much as the physical side – members can row as much or as little as they want and are invited to events throughout the year.

Writing Group
Alumna Rosie Johnston U73, novelist, poet and journalist, has been writing since 1992 and leads the writing group at Churchill College. The Churchill Writers usually meet either online or in the Churchill College Club Room on the middle four Saturdays of each term from 3:30pm – 5:30pm. The sessions offer the opportunity to write in a safe, positive environment, either for yourself or with the intent of publishing. Everyone who has a Churchill College connection of any kind is welcome and the group sessions are free of charge.
Supporting students
Coinciding with reunions, Class Gift Bursaries are named after particular year groups. We hope that you will join your contemporaries by making a gift to support Churchillians of the future.
The aim for each Class Gift is to raise £100,000 which will endow a full Cambridge Bursary for one student. The Cambridge Bursaries are means-tested and for UK registered students. Every individual donation of any size will take us closer to our goal. If 150 alumni donate a one-off amount of £500 (or commit to donating £15 a month for three years), with Gift Aid, this will total just over £100,000.
Get involved
At Churchill we are proud of our reputation as one of the friendliest Cambridge Colleges and the Alumni Office is constantly providing opportunities for our Fellows, students, staff and alumni to meet, engage, teach, learn, laugh and inspire.
