Brexit means Brexit? – Join European Churchill alumni at a symposium and drinks reception in Mainz
After Britain voted on 23 June 2016 to leave the European Union – by a narrow majority of 51.9% to 48.1% – the EU entered uncharted legal and political waters. It quickly became clear that the Exit negotiations would prove considerably more complex and complicated than was suggested by Prime Minister Theresa May’s slogan at the first Cabinet meeting after the Summer Recess: 'Brexit means Brexit, and we’re going to make a success of it.'
Former Overseas Fellow Professor Christa Jansohn is hosting a symposium to consider the implications and challenges of Brexit in Mainz, Germany from 6–8 December, held in English.
Topics include Brexit and the media, and the economic, social and governance implications of the UK exiting the European union.

All European alumni are welcome and we will also be organizing a drinks reception after lunch on Friday 8 December, so we hope you can join some or all of this conference. If you are interested in coming on the Friday, please email the alumni office as well as Rabea Lucht:
