Following the workshop you will be provided with a complimentary cold buffet dinner and drinks in the room, with the opportunity to continue networking with the workshop leaders courtesy of event sponsor, MSM Healthcare.

Workshop leaders

Simon Jones — Chairman
Simon (U85) is the ex-CEO of Cambridge-based Analysys Mason - global telecommunications consulting company sold to Datatec in 2004. He is currently Chairman of 4 entrepreneurial ventures and Founder of his own executive coaching and training businesses. His industry expertise covers professional and software and internet services, telecoms, energy and renewables, medical technology, banking and publishing. 

Paul Higgins — Founder & Chief Technology Officer of Crowd Valley
Serial entrepreneur with an operational background in finance and technology companies. Paul (U02) has over a decade's experience working in various operational and product roles within technology companies, including two B2B startups that have achieved eight-figure exits following 100% year-on-year growth. He started his career in product development and testing roles in UBS Capital Markets and IBM's Hursley Research Lab in the UK before going on to eBay, UBS, and Barclays. 

Valerie Jolliffe
Valerie (U73) graduated in Engineering as one of the first female students at Churchill. She spent ten years in the City followed by a further decade in early stage venture capital, specialising in university spin-outs. She currently manages a Seedcorn Fund in Norwich and a number of small business angel funds – she has yet to see a significant financial return from any of them but continues to be fascinated by the process of creating and managing start-up companies. She has a particular interest in new technologies for healthcare. 

Brian Moyo — Founder and Managing Director of MSM Healthcare
Brian is one of the (3) founders and current Managing Director of MSM Healthcare, a healthcare recruitment company based in East Anglia. He holds an MSc in Health Informatics from City University and previously worked in health and social care software implementation and is also a qualified psychiatric nurse. 

Alan Platt
Passionate about Technology, Alan (U93) combines a strong technical background in software, electronics and mechanical engineering with experience of solving real world problems for non-technical customers. He has developed and launched numerous new products and has strong international experience, having managed teams in the US and Europe and taken products to market across the globe. Alan’s experience covers a wide variety of industries from Broadcast and Film through to Pharmaceuticals and Software. He has held executive and board roles in Engineering, Sales, Marketing and General Management.
