DESCRIPTION:Artificial intelligence and Generative AI threaten to change everything about our work\, but how can one prepare for these changes? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChurchill alumni are invited to join us at the Oxford and Cambridge Club\, London\, as leading expert on artificial intelligence and generative AI Dr Antonio Weiss (U05) discusses his new book\, AI Demystified: Unleash the power of artificial intelligence at work with Edleen John (U05)\, Non-executive Director and technology advisor. We’ll leave plenty of time for an audience Q&A and the talk will be followed by networking drinks. \n\n\n\nPlease note that the Oxford and Cambridge Club has a strict dress code\, which they apply to all events. He has advised the Office for Artificial Intelligence\, the UK Space Agency and NHS AI Lab\, the Government Digital Service\, and other pioneering organisations on AI adoption and digital transformation. SUMMARY:Boat naming event for the Kieran Heal VIII
DESCRIPTION:Thanks to support from recent graduates and current members of the club\, CCBC will be naming a newly refurbished VIII ‘Kieran Heal’ after one of our most dedicated members\, Kieran Heal (U&G16). \n\n\n\nKieran has held multiple roles in the Club\, including Junior Treasurer\, Men’s Vice-Captain\, Coxing Representative and Overall Captain (twice). He has rowed and coxed for the College as an undergraduate and PhD student\, as well as being a regular coach of many boats during his nine years at Churchill College. After the naming there will be light refreshments. \n\n\n\nThe event takes place at the Combined Colleges Boathouse\, Logan’s Way\, Cambridge CB4 IBL. SUMMARY:Graduation in Person – 25 October 2025
DESCRIPTION:Booking for in-person graduation on 25 October 2025. This ceremony will primarily be for students graduating from postgraduate courses or receiving their MA degree. \nOn the days of degree Congregations\, the Praelector hosts a lunch for those taking degrees in person. Lunch is free for all graduands and guests are welcome. If you wish to bring any guests to the lunch the cost is £32.25 per head. The graduation lunch will be held in the Dining Hall\, unless otherwise stated. \nA timetable of the day will be e-mailed to you approximately one week before the congregation\, when timings of the ceremony are known. \nPlease note: Bookings will close on 5 October 2025. To book\, please use the form below: \nBook your graduation place for 25 October 2025 \nWhen booking\, please ensure that you use a postal address which will be valid up to a month after your graduation date as this will be the address used when sending out your transcript (if applicable). \nPlease note that if your degree has not yet been approved\, any confirmation you receive from Churchill College will be subject to your degree being approved by your Department at least one week before the chosen ceremony date; please also note that the College is not informed of this directly\, so you must take responsibility for checking that you have been approved to graduate in time. \nMA Degrees\nIf you hold a Cambridge BA\, you may proceed to the MA not less than six years from the end of your first term of residence\, providing that you have already graduated with your BA degree.
