I’m already studying at another UK university. Can I apply for an undergraduate course at Cambridge?

We will not consider your application if you are a student at another UK university and intend to study a similar subject at Cambridge. Read more about this on the University of Cambridge website.

The Admissions Office can give you advice on whether or not your proposed course is too similar. However, we will consider your application if find you have selected the wrong course and decide to study something completely different (e.g. you have been admitted for Engineering, but discover that your true love is English Literature). If you are in this situation you must obtain strong support from your current university tutor in the form of an academic reference. It is also useful if you explain your reasons for wanting to switch courses in your application.
