Dr Michael Lewis
Michael Lewis is Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and General Editor of the Journal of Italian Philosophy. He is the author of Heidegger and the Place of Ethics (Bloomsbury), Heidegger Beyond Deconstruction: On Nature (Bloomsbury), Derrida and Lacan: Another Writing (Edinburgh University Press), The Beautiful Animal: Sincerity, Charm, and the Fossilised Dialectic (Rowman and Littlefield) and, with Tanja Staehler, Phenomenology: An Introduction (Bloomsbury). Educated in philosophy at the University of Warwick and the University of Essex, he has taught philosophy at the University of Sussex (2007–9, 2011), the University of Warwick (2010), and the University of the West of England (2011–15). He is currently working on two books, one on Giorgio Agamben, and the other on Philosophical Anthropology.
