By-Fellows,
Pablo is a Visiting Research Fellow at the division of Electrical Engineering, working in the field of High-Capacity Optical Communications for Access Networks.
He was born in Hidalgo, Mexico. Pablo received the Master and PhD degrees in Telecommunications Engineering (with honors) from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), in 2012 and 2017, respectively. In Spring 2012 and Summer 2014, Pablo performed short research internships at Athens Information Technology (AIT), Greece, working on Optical OFDM for IM-DD systems and Filtering Concatenation impact on the transmission of Nyquist WDM superchannels. In the second half of 2016, he performed a research internship at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, investigating radio-over-fiber mobile fronthaul systems.
From August 2017 to December 2021, he was a Post-doctoral Researcher in the field of High-Speed Optical Access Networks and Data Center Interconnects at Politecnico di Torino. From January 2022, he is performing research in the group of Professor Seb Savory at University of Cambridge, UK. His current research focuses on the analysis of Ultra-High Capacity Optical Access Networks at >100 Gbps per wavelength using coherent detection.
