Professor Steven Fielding 

Steven Fielding is Emeritus Professor of Political History at the University of Nottingham. He is writing a book for Polity on the Labour Party since 1976 which should be published during the first year of the term of a Starmer government. Other than the Labour party he has written on various subjects including the Irish in Britain, based on his PhD, and the depiction of politics in fiction. He has presented a number of documentaries for Radio 4 and writes regularly for the Spectator and very rarely for the Financial Times.
