Roi Reichart is a faculty member at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management of the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, where he holds the Schmidt chair for career advancement in Artificial Intelligence. Roi joined the Technion in July 2013 as an Assistant Professor, and since June 2019 he is a tenured Associate Professor. Before that he was a postdoctoral fellow at MIT and the University of Cambridge, and completed his PhD at the Hebrew university of Jerusalem. His field of research is Natural Language Processing – developing computer algorithms that understand human language – and he has co-authored over 100 papers in the top conferences and journals of the field, as well as in the top Artificial Intelligence and Psychology journals. His research group consists of 15 graduate students and has already graduated over 20 students. His work received a best paper award in CoNLL 2009, he is a co-author of the most highly cited paper (at least since 2015) in the MIT Computational Linguistics journal and he is the recipient of an honorable mention of the Yanai Prize – the Technion teaching award.
