David Stokes Memorial Fund

The Judge David Stokes QC Memorial Bursary Fund

The Fund was set up in 2005 as a memorial to David Stokes, an alumnus of Churchill who matriculated in 1963 to commemorate his life and contribution to law.

A permanent judge at the Old Bailey, David Stokes rose through the ranks from graduation to become a Recorder, Queens Counsel, a Bencher of Gray’s Inn and finally a permanent Judge at the Old Bailey.

The Stokes Bursary Fund is used to provide financial support to current and future Churchill law students.
