This Easter, the latest Churchill exhibition, put on by the Musée de l'Armée and the Fondation Charles de Gaulle, opened in Paris (despite the best efforts of French air traffic control). The exhibition, which includes more than 50 items from the Archives Centre, ranges over the parallel lives of Churchill and Charles de Gaulle (known by Churchill as his Cross of Lorraine, as de Gaulle was the heaviest cross he had to bear) from childhood onwards. If you are lucky enough to be in Paris this summer (the exhibition is on until 26 July), why not have a look?
More information on the exhibition is available from the Musée de l'Armée.
Watch an overview of the exhibition from francetv, featuring interviews with Churchill's granddaughter, Emma Soames and de Gaulle's grandson, Yves de Gaulle.
Professor Dame Athene Donald, Master of Churchill College, writes about the exhibition her blog post: Leadership (Churchillian style) and Policy:
This exhibition forms part of Churchill 2015 — an international programme of Churchill-related activity taking place around the world during 2015 to commemorate his achievements, highlight his vibrant existing legacy and bring his life and work to new audiences.
