There is now just one week to go until the start of our 2020 telephone campaign when our team of student callers hope to share news about life at Churchill today, including their own experiences of student life under lockdown.

As always, the telephone campaign provides our alumni and callers with an enjoyable opportunity to share experiences of Churchill. It also enables us to hear what our alumni have gone on to do after leaving Churchill College. You can read all about this year’s team of student callers here. They are very excited about the prospect of returning to College life and chatting with alumni after so many months away. Our students will also be seeking support for the College’s new Think Forward campaign, which has just been launched to help mark the 60th anniversary of the College receiving its Royal Charter.

The Think Forward campaign aims to celebrate our successes and help fund our future, following 60 years of stellar achievements and 60 years of educating the brightest and best from a range of backgrounds who have gone on to make a difference to the world beyond Cambridge University. That is why our campaign is centred on the College’s endowment and its people. Think Forward aims to boost the College’s long-term financial sustainability so we have additional capacity to face the challenges the future may bring and to ensure future generations of students can thrive.

Help celebrate the story of the College by contributing your own memories

We aim to gather and celebrate as soon as it becomes possible post-lockdown, but in the meantime, you are invited to visit the Think Forward website to find out more about the campaign and the projects seeking support and to delve into the history of the College by exploring our interactive timeline – you can enrich our story by contributing your own memories and images.

Finally, we always say that every gift makes a difference, no matter how small, but donations made during the telephone campaign to Student Support, the Covid contingency fund, Graduate Studentships and the College’s pioneering Winston Churchill Top-Up Bursaries, will benefit from match funding, so donations will be doubled, thanks to the generosity of two alumni.

Meet the students!
