In December, we ran a photography competition for our Fellows, students and staff. The theme was ‘My Churchill 2020’, and we wanted to see what our members had experienced in their College life during the very strangest of years.

We received over 70 entries and the selectors were impressed by not only the quality of the photography, but also the variety of the subjects captured. After the scores were added together, we had two entries which were neck and neck, so we have decided to award a joint first place with one highly commended.

Here are our winners:

Joint First Place by Erica d’Allessandro

A night time shot of two marquees, with the main concourse building in the background. There are lights on the marquees, and a lit Christmas tree can be seen beside them.

Joint First Place by Dr Alison Ming

Close up of a mushroom growing among fallen leaves and pine cones

Highly Commended by PhD student Ramit Debnath

Black and white photo of a large tree and College buildings beneath dramatic clouds in the sky.

Thank you to everyone who took part. You can see all of the entries in our Flickr album:
