Dr Warren Dockter examines Churchill’s relationship with the Islamic world in his new book

On the hundreth anniversay of the Gallipoli campaign, one of the bloodiest battles of World War One and often referred to as 'Churchill's folly,' a new book by former Archives By-Fellow, Dr Warren Dockter seeks to overturn the widely-accepted consensus that Churchill was indifferent to, and even contemptuous of, matters concerning the Middle East.

Churchill College was the setting for the first of the 2015 finale episodes of Masterchef. The five last contestants cooked a five-course dinner devised by leading British chef, Michael Caines in honour of the College's founder — Sir Winston Churchill.
