1989: The year Margaret Thatcher’s apparent mastery slipped away

Forty thousand pages of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s personal and political papers from 1989 are being opened to the public at the Churchill Archives Centre and online at the website of the Margaret Thatcher Foundation.

Shell Churchill Research Prize 2019

For the third time the College, in collaboration with Shell, ran the Shell Churchill Research Prize. This year’s winner is Nicholas Barber (G18) who presented on understanding the role magmas play in supplying metals to ore deposits.

Mystery of archive photo solved

A recent College mailing featured a group of six students in a 1960s-era photograph. We were only able to identify one of the group as Ray Williams (U64) so we included a plea for more information.
