Alumni careers advice / interview practice
The College would like to build a list of alumni willing to offer voluntary advice and / or interview practice to current students with regard to the world of work and employment. The list will be shared with students via the JCR and MCR. It should be noted the College will only be acting as an intermediary between alumni and current students in this activity, which is not a College scheme. If you would be willing to have your details added to the list, please contact the Alumni Office by Friday 12 May, with the following information:
- Name
- Potted career history (two – three lines of copy only)
- Area(s) of expertise / specialism
- Preferred contact details
Interview practice training for admissions
The College is aware that some alumni are already involved in schools and colleges in providing interview practice for potential Oxford and Cambridge undergraduate applicants. If a viable number of alumni are interested in this, the Senior Tutor will run a training session in which they could be brought up-to-date on how admissions interviews are conducted today in the two universities.
The College hopes that mock interview provision is something that alumni are able to provide especially for schools and colleges without much experience of Oxbridge application or entry. Interested parties should contact the Alumni Office by Friday 12 May, outlining their existing experience in this area.
