Starting in Michaelmas Term, Churchill College will launch its inaugural enterprise competition for budding entrepreneurs. Capturing the spirit of Churchill’s intent to produce the leaders of the future, the enterprise competition seeks to identify the best business ideas of current Churchill students and recently graduated alumni.
Open to teams or individuals, the competition will award the winning entry £1000 and business mentoring from the board of judges. Our Judges are drawn from the Churchill alumni, eminently qualified and successful in diverse sectors such as investment, management, research and manufacturing.
Full competition rules will be published on the College website at the beginning of Michaelmas term—we urge any students or alumni, graduating in the last three years to think about their ideas and entries over the summer. Be as original as you can be!
‘Some people regard private enterprise as a predatory tiger to be shot. Others look on it as a cow they can milk. Not enough people see it as a healthy horse, pulling a sturdy wagon.’ —Winston Churchill
