December’s Image of the Month is, we admit, a Christmas card, but not a very Christmassy one. It comes courtesy of the Ulster Unionists in 1912, and is part of their campaign against Home Rule for Ireland.
This card comes from the papers of the physiologist Professor A V Hill. It must have been sent to him by a friend in Ulster in 1912, and was printed for the Unionist Clubs of Ireland, who were bitterly opposed to the policy of Home Rule for Ireland.
