On Friday 29 April, John Whittingdale MP, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, visited the Churchill Archives Centre.

In addition to being shown key documents from the various collections allocated to the Centre by his office following their Acceptance in Lieu of Inheritance Tax, the Secretary of State also came face to face with some of his own letters to Margaret Thatcher.
