Churchill College is justifiably proud of its historical support for women in our community. The College Library’s latest book display builds on this with a focus on outstanding female science-fiction authors.
Our ‘Women of Sci-Fi’ can be found in the Bracken Library opposite the periodicals display.
We are showcasing works by Doris Lessing, Margaret Atwood, Marge Piercy and P.D. James, alongside Ursula Le Guin, who sadly passed away at the end of last month. All of the books on display can be borrowed, and the titles will rotate over the next few weeks.
The spark for this display came from Churchill PhD student Karen Wong-Perez, who had the wonderful idea to highlight our science fiction collections alongside the science textbooks. Thank you, Karen!
