Building on Moving Mountains 2015 and 2016, the Moving Mountains 2018 Conference’s main theme is Mental Health and the Power of Exercise.
Friday 2 November 2018
The Conference will hear stories of mental health sufferers and chronic illness sufferers with mental health conditions. It will also hear from those who care for mental health sufferers with or without chronic conditions about the ways in which their role as carer impacts on their own mental health. The conference will then address the power of physical activity for both physical and mental wellbeing through medical experts’ contributions by sharing their experiences and evidence-based programmes — ‘Mens sana in corpore sano’ as the ancient Romans would say. The Conference will end with a panel comprising all the speakers and medical experts discussing questions put to them by the audience.
This conference is particularly suited to healthcare professionals and practitioners. It is also relevant to mental health sufferers with or without chronic conditions and to their carers. The conference will also of interest to the fitness and leisure industry and the various charitable organisations dealing with mental health.
