Members of Churchill’s Catering Team — Rebecca Cresswell, Elona Gjegja, Sarah Crawley and Jill Hay (pictured) are raising money for Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action by taking part in Women V Cancer Ride the Night — the largest women-only cycling event in the UK.

The ‘Winston Wheelers’ will be riding a 100km route from the Royal Windsor Racecourse into London and back to the racecourse through the night on 26 May. Their sponsored ride hopes to raise £800 to help fight breast, cervical and ovarian cancers.

This will be the first time that any of the team have cycled 100km and are looking forward to the personal challenge — training through the winter months to get ready for their spring challenge.

A large group of cyclists preparing to set off. The road has been lit up in pink light, everyone is wearing a pink high vis jacket, and many are wearing decorations such as bunny ears on their helmets. Some of the bicycles have been decorated as well with extra lights on their wheels and frames.

The ‘Winston Wheelers’ need to raise their target £800 by the end of March. The team are encouraging members of Churchill to support them. Just the cost of one cup of coffee would make a huge difference to raising these funds.

If you wish to support them and this worthy cause you can donate online via their Just Giving page.
