This year marks not only the 100th anniversary of women receiving the vote but also Churchill College’s highest ever intake of female undergraduate engineers.
To commemorate these successes, Churchill College Engineering Society is ran a panel discussion, followed by drinks reception and formal dinner on the 8 March 2018: International Women’s Day during this Year of Engineering.
Four female engineers, mostly Churchill alumnae, will return to discuss their experiences in the world of work since leaving college; covering topics such as career development, work/life balance and advice/wisdom.
The event aimed to recognise that as women in engineering, we have an incredible capacity for success, but we also potentially face problems that our male counterparts don’t. So we want to celebrate the impressive legacy that has already been established and also provide support, advice and inspiration for future generations.
