Congratulations to Senior Research Fellow — Dr Xavier Moya, who has been awarded the Young Researcher in Experimental Physics Prize 2015 by the Spanish Royal Society of Physics.
The award is dedicated to ‘researchers of exceptional scientific talent aged under 35’.
Dr Moya’s work looks at phase transitions in functional materials whose structural, magnetic, electrical and thermal properties display strong coupling. His research focuses primarily on caloric materials for cooling applications and magnetoelectric materials for data storage.
