Members of Churchill College have generously helped Porters John Jones and Mark Collier raise £4455 for Cancer Research.
John and Mark completed two sponsored walks to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer. Cancer has touched so many of our friends, family and colleagues, including John who has a diagnosis of leukaemia and commenced chemotherapy after completing the walks.
Churchill members and friends of the College supported the walks generously. In addition, £455 was raised from collection tins across the College.
By completing two ten mile sponsored walks, John and Mark wanted to raise awareness of cancer and its impact on people’s lives, and the importance of generating funds to conduct life saving research.
Both John and Mark would like to thank the Churchill community for all of their support and well wishes.
