The College is delighted that Professor Julia King DBE, CBE, FREng is one of four new non-party-political peers recommended by the House of Lords Appointments Commission.
Professor Dame King has been a Title E Fellow of Churchill College since 2002, having previously been Title A Fellow from 1987-1994. She has held senior positions in both industry and academia, and been involved in numerous advisory groups and committees in the fields of engineering, technology, energy and education (including the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Committee on Climate Change and the Cabinet Office National Security Forum).
Since 2006 she has been Vice-Chancellor of Aston University.
