Construction has begun at Churchill College on a new student accommodation court.
Situated west of South Court adjacent to Madingley Road New Court will provide on-campus accommodation for 68 students, including 3 rooms specifically designed for disabled students.
Four weeks into the construction, the basement on the North side has been dug and large quantities of blue clay have been removed from the site.
Commenting on the importance of this building project Churchill’s Senior Tutor, Richard Partington said:
“Accommodating all our undergraduate and postgraduate students is critical to Churchill’s success as an academic and social community — and vital as we continue to attract the very brightest and most focused students to this College.”
The new court is expected to be completed by July 2016. Only 67 weeks to go!
