Avner is a postdoctoral research fellow in the department of applied mathematics and theoretical physics. His research focuses on various theoretical aspects of strongly interacting quantum field theories, such as anomalies, solitons, and dualities.
Before moving to Cambridge, Avner completed his undergraduate studies in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and then moved to the Weizmann Institute of Science for his MSc and PhD in theoretical physics.
Outside of work, Avner enjoys Playback theatre, spoken word, and playing with his two wonderful children.
