Biography


Gemma completed her PhD at the University of Adelaide where she investigated the interplay between the receptors of the IGF system and how they signal outcomes relevant to cancer biology. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation in South Australia before moving to Cambridge to join Dr Robert Semple and Professor Ken Siddle. Her current research focuses on investigating the therapeutic potential of antibodies to treat severe insulin resistance arising from mutations in the insulin receptor.
