After studying German and Philosophy at the Free University Berlin, I came to Cambridge for my PhD, which I completed in 2014. Before returning to Cambridge for my current position as Research Associate, I worked as Lecturer and Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Salzburg, Austria. I am now a member of both the Department of German in Cambridge and the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute in Vienna.

My general research interests are psychoanalysis, sociology of literature, Race and Gender Studies, cultural history of science, history and theory of biography. I am now working on a scholarly biography of Arthur Schnitzler. I teach various aspects of German and comparative literature and culture, and critical theory.
