Study with us
The Churchill Music Society (ChuMS) is one of the most vibrant music societies in Cambridge, home to a wide variety of orchestral, choral and jazz ensembles and hosting both professional and amateur performances. Membership of the society is free and open to all.
The Music Society Committee is made up of students and staff from the College, and is responsible for organising all the music society's activities. We always hold at least two meetings a term, usually at the beginning and end. In addition, a number of social events are held.
For more information on the music society, its ensembles, and concerts, please visit the ChuMS website and Facebook page:
For any questions or advice about the musical life in Churchill and in Cambridge, please contact the Music Sizar, the ChuMS President or the Director of Music-Making.
Please note that we also run a general interest email list for alumni who would like to get occasional updates from the music society.
Please be assured that we will only email this list very occasionally.

There is a very generous range of music bursaries on offer to Churchill students. Not only does the Churchill participate in all the central university award schemes for music (offering organ, choral, and instrumental awards) but we also run annual auditions for internal college bursaries to support instrumentalists, singers, accompanists, and even choral conductors.
